hey i was wondering if anyone has purchased or could point me in the right direction in finding a snowboard attachment that will work with the oem roof racks for our w124.....

Yakima has a rack that will sit in the rails of your rook rack. It'll probably cost $300-$400 by the time you have everything from towers to crossbars to locks.
If this is something you will use often or want to last a long time, DO NOT GO CHEAP.

OH, I assumed you had a wagon when you said factory rack. You can probably buy just the snowboard part and attach it to your crossbars.
