and FYI - No need to be scared to have non Dot approved headlights. you drive a MERCEDES. What kind of cop is going to sit on his *** and check out what kind of headlights you're sporting on your benz???
I think the regulations have changed anyway. But anyway, if you get a real **** inspector, he may not pass you because your lens doesn't sat DOT on it, but I've had non-DOT lenses on my cars for over five years and never had a problem.

1) Mercedes dealers in US don't sell the euro lights...simply beacause they are not legal here.

2) Cops don't know, and don't care if your headlights are euro.

3) Please no one buy plastic headlight lenses, as seen from many cars on the road that are 5 years old or so....they don't hold up to the weather, road dirt and sun.

4) Ebay euros are typically TYC or DEPO, not sure which is better. I emailed Speed Autoeile yesterday to get a quote on a euro lens, but have yet to hear back. If i can't get it from them, then its either paying $123 at Bekkers for the lens....or maybe buying the 95' style.

You guys will all be amazed at the performance of Euro spec headlights + PIAA bulbs. Optics are expensive, precision pieces of equipment. The idea of getting good quality projector lenses in a headlight that costs less than $1000 is not realistic. Cheapo headlights are good for looks and that's usually it.

Euros are OE designed (or copies of the OE design) and the beam quality/light output are far superior. I think they look the best as well.

MB 300E | BMW M Coupe
The very first headlights on this thread seem to look sorta like mine...the casing looks like mine but the housing inside (where the bulbs are/reflector) is different....they will have the same gap that mine do, the same gap that many of you guys dont like on pre-94's and the same gap that i really dont care about cause its not too big...just some info for you guys...they look nice when they are new but sooner or later, the clear plastic lense will scratch up and look cheap...i now want the ecode 500E lights...or whatever they are called....but i am happy with my lights cause i like em and they are different....by far, i think natural person has the best looking projector/HID setup, then the rick with his red coupe....his headlights are based off of mine..

Yes...my car is a '95 E420, so it is a post-face lift car and thus has the euro-style lenses and the updated grill/hood. I have one light that looks like it has a couple of small bullet holes in it, but still functions fine.

I bought the S600 grill insert from Bekkers, so I want the lights to look as good as the grill. Plus, I read that the light dispertion pattern is still better with a euro lens than the US equivelent
