they look a tad like these rims (which are one of my favorites) so I'm hoping they will do.

Really, I don't think they're Carlsson, Brabus, or Enkei. At least not anything they are currently making.

They look like $100/each rims, not Carlsson.

he wants $200 for all four + tires, they are 18's and after seeing bronco with his 18 Farlssons, I was sold on 18's.

You're absolutely right Matt, one of the main reasons as to why I looked at them to begin with was the fact that my SLs have seen better days, so I figured 18s + fairly new tires + 200 bux = won't hurt to try.

But the more and more I see them the less and less I want them...

Better to keep the old rims you have than to buy someone else's old rims. No one sells decent rims for $50 each, tires or no tires. The fact that he's trying to pass them off as Carlsson's tells me that they're garbage. I don't mean that in a snobbish way, I just mean that even if you like the wheels, they may have damage/defects that you can't see, the finish may be trashed, etc. The pic is dark and taken from a strange angle for selling a wheel. Add to that the fact that he's lying about the brand and you can't trust him to be honest about anything else.

Would you buy spinner wheel covers just because the price was right? That's all I'm saying. We all want to find killer deals, but sometimes you just have to spend the cash.

Hey Newbs.

Lying about the brand? They are Carlsson Wheels. How do I know? My friend had them on his 16V.
Don't be too skeptical about getting wheels for cheap. Most sellers don't even know the value of the wheels they are getting. Them those wheels Henry. Does it come with the Center cover?

Those don't look the same to me. Maybe it's the crappy pic, I don't know. Chris, you certainly know more about Carlsson's than I do. Maybe it is a screamin' deal.

chris you beat me to it. That's pervbenz's oops I mean perzbenz's old car. Those definitely look like carlsson rims to me. If they aren't carlssons, they are good knock-offs.

although now that I look at it... the ones on the 16v have 15 spokes while the one in shadow's post has 16. Correct me if my eyes are bad.

He stated that they are 100% real carlssons.

he said the covers were missing, he misplaced them when he moved.

i have seen those rims before
they are carlsson rims but i can't recall what type
the center cover would have carlsson logo on it
however i can't tell if it's genuine or fake by looking at a picture

Chris

do you know if there's a way to identify these rims without center caps? Would they have a carlsson mark anywhere else?

can anyone ask perz???
