Advice for Painting Rims Please!!!
I've noticed that some of you here just go ahead and paint your rims exspecially when you have black rims with a chrome/polished lip on the mind. I wanted to know what paints do you use? How often do you have to repaint them? How do you wash them? And is it worth it?
thanx in advance!

I wouldn't do it yourself. Don't cheap out with your wheels. Have a shop professionally do it.
Depending it should cost anywhere from 300-500 for a set of wheels to do.

I had my 18's Powdercoated, it is the ****. It was actually cheaper to have them blasted and powdercoated rather than taking it to a body shop. The results are amazing and the material is millions of times more durrable against brake dust road grime compared to standard paints. I had my 18's base and clear powdercoated, looks like paint, but better.
A word of advice, I chose a sample color from the powdercoat company, but since I had larger centercaps to cover the lugnuts that were plastic, I couldn't get a paint to match the powdercoat. You CAN however have powdercoat matched to paint codes. Just something to think about with your specific application whatever it may be. I did find a SEM european bluegray bumper paint color that almost matched perfectly, I am really happy with the look.
