Hi everyone,
I have been following this wheel fitment guide for a few months. I finally purchased a set of refinished 17 x 7.5" AMG monoblock wheels. All four wheels are ET35mm offset and they fit my W124 wagon perfectly! I went with 225/45/R17 tires all around and the ride quality and fitment are perfect, no rubbing at all even at full lock.
I have about a 4" gap between the top of the wheel and the bottom edge of the fenders, so I purchased a set of wagon specific H&R lowering springs and a set of Bilstein B8 Shocks/Struts. I'll post pics when I get the lowering springs and new Bilsteins installed.
Hello,
I recently bought a square set of wheels (17x8 et 25) for my 90' C124. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that in 1990, the C124's got the larger brakes... (I had originally thought they got the larger brakes with the other models in 1993). I had already planned on rolling the fenders & lowering the car. That being said, these new wheels don't clear the larger calipers and I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. Do you guys think 5mm spacers front & rear would work? Also, I was able to bolt the wheels fully onto each hub. Does anyone know a good company for extended wheel bolts as well? Thank you for listening!
