AMG Coupe
To properly "restore" a car takes time and money.
Starting with the proper 124 such as you state, can at least begin to justify the expense.
You don't restore any car as an investment, you do it as a passion.
On any given day, the correct buyer may come along, who really wants your car and will put a smile on your face.
I've been restoring and racing for forty years, and I'll be honest, my investment in my 300CE when complete will be close to $30K.
Will I recoup my investment, who knows, probably doubtful.
But what will I have ?
A vehicle I bought new in 1988 for $52K, 63K miles, with an as new interior, MB certified shop doing a Glasurite paint job, fresh twin turbo engine, new suspension, brakes, wheels and tires.
What can you buy new for $30K that will give you a unique ride and similar experience?
