Agreed They look awesome that's why I went with 17 monoblocks so I don't have to worry about rolling the fenders and it also gives me more options to drop the car in the future. It was packed with those 18's along with the big tires that I would need new tires and the drop itself could end up with a lot of problems.

Only the front bumper, fender, and door are the same as the sedan. You'll need the rest from a late wagon. I just did this with my '88. Plan on spending $100 or more on clips too.
BTW, does anyone know the paint code for the metallic grey cladding?

Latest update for my fellow Wagon'eers
Once I get my suspension figured out on the 260E, I will move my Silver 18" Monoblocks onto it
I am much happier running 17's on the wagon.

Nice, I like silver too. I may buy some monoblocks and sell my 3 piece AMG/OZ. How much do the 17's weigh?

How's the ride with 17" wheels? I don't really mind the 15" on mine but it seems the 195/65-15 tires can be a bit floaty at times. I do like the comfortable ride over bad road surfaces though.
Any good sources for these monoblock wheels? They look awesome on the wagon.
I do like these Replica wheels from discounttiredirect but am not sure about the quality. Never heard of this brand before but not a bad price of $125 each.
I used to have Rial Nogaros on a previous car but Tirerack doesn't have them in 5x112. I think those would look awesome on the w124 wagon. would 5x110 with wobble bolts work on the w124?
These Rial DF are nice as well and not a bad price for $138 in 17". And they are made in Germany. I like Rial wheels.
Which ones do you prefer on a '90 wagon? I like the clean, simple design of the Rial DF wheels.

color code?
Anyone know the lower cladding color code of this Silver/Grey? It's different than the pearl black lower Grey on my wifes '91 300E. The cladding came from a light metallic blue wagon.

Wulf,
I would scour craiglist if you wanna go with Monoblocks. It may take some time, but well worth the wait. Expect to pay anywhere from $600-$1000 for a set with tires. They are just classic on w124's. It makes them more modern looking, but doesn't push the boundaries of which the car looks too far from factory looks.
www.crazedlist.org. I highly recommend it for searching anything off craigslist. Saves so much time.
I don't recommend getting 18's unless you plan for some fender work....
The ride is a a lot nicer on 17's compared to 18's....Once I get some new tires soon it should help with road noise.

Ameen..those are 15" wheels tucked inside there?? Wow, and you drive it without issue?
That does look good, and after mods will be hellacious.
