I'll be the proud owner of a 95 e320 wagon by this afternoon, tomorrow at the latest. I'd love to see some life breathed into this thread. I'll be doing some maintenance / mods pretty quick.
H&R's, 17" or 18" mono II's, tint, new brakes on all 4 corners (suggestions here would be greatly appreciated), etc...
Chappy, your whip is my inspiration. Don't want to sacrifice families everyday driveability, but want a nice planted sporty ride quality / look.
So, just picked up 99 e320 wagon. It's nice, but lots of little bugs to work out. First, just FYI, some sort of relay making fan off/on when car sitting without key. Runs down battery overnight. Found source of power (fuse 4 under hood), and put lighted on/off switch just to right of steering column. If switch is lit, then the relay has power. When I get out, if the light is on, I switch the power off to the relay. When I get in, if I start it up and nothing on the dash comes up, I have forgotten to flip the switch on. I do so, and all is well. Now, I am well aware that I am fixing the symptom, and not the root. I hope it is not too offensive. But, when spending $1400 on a car, $100 relays are not in the budget. So, that leads to my next issue, the shocks. I understand that the shocks are hydraulic. The ride is terrible and the wagon sits a little low, especially with a load. It could be the actuators, but there is a lot of grease/dirt on the shocks, so I presume it's the shocks leaking. Plus, I'm using a small amount of hydraulic oil. I'm going to swap out the hydraulic system if I cannot find a cheap fix, so I'm considering throwing some lucas power steering leak fix stuff in the hydraulic oil. Worse case scenario? Will it mess up power steering? In my line of thinking, the worst case scenario is that I ruin the shocks and/or the actuators, or both. But, is there a chance that it works? I guess a more appropriate question is, has anyone had any luck with leak-fix on shocks, or is replacement the only option? Thanks.
Do you still have your wagon? Any new pics? I'm back in the market for another kombi
yes. I'm in love, though my wife drives it mostly with our three small children. Since picking this up I've also acquired a 93 500E that I've been daily driving it's far closer to stock (quite rough condition) but is such a blast to whip around in the wagon is definitely a handsome car though!

Thought I had better pics on my phone.
Sharp!
Since I sold my S124 Kombi three years ago (replaced with an '11 E350 Sport), I have missed the utility and fun factor of owning a sporty wagon.
Lots of good info in this old thread. Here is my 91 300TE. Had it for about 3 years now and plan on keeping it for a long time. Planning on a mild suspension drop with 500E springs.

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum and not sure where to post this question. I need a new steering wheel position sensor for my 1989 300te 4matic. These are available new but are very expensive. I'm looking for a used one. Any thoughts on where I should look.
