1992 Mb W124 300e-24 Amg
Hello
I am thinking seriosly about buying this model.
Does anybody know anything about it?
Example. Power? Top speed? Acceleration? Is it built by Mercedes or is the AMG stuff applyed after? Anything really. Thanks

Be ready to pay at least 15k. A guy had a "modified" by AMG sportline that he would not let go for less than 12k. If you get a true AMG, which is damn hard by the way, it will put a whole in your bank account.

I am in Denmark. My problem is that i only know that the car should have 3,4 litre 272 hp? There is printed AMG in the speedometer.

Interesting... these show up in the EPC but I didn't know what it was. 3.4 liter M103 with first generation AMG kit? You should note that a previous owner changed the hood and the headlamps at some point. That is not the original look of the vehicle. The engine should run reliably though and it wouldn't be more expensive to maintain than your average 300E.

Not true I would go less. Um in 92 in europe you could have the m104 3.2 liter engine modified to a 3.4 liter AMG engine which would have the same body kit as my car, suspension, and interior. My car is for sale still for 10K from my pops he bought it from me just to help me out, now its in the garage. If you get the vin it should pull up the info for you, the wheels are not originals I know that one for a fact on the car your showing because I have the upgrade booklet for those years!

Like I said, if you have the car when I am ready to buy another, consider it sold.

500E Signal Rot
I wouldn't say I am "shooting in the dark", its going to be difficult to find a buyer at that price. If the vehicle was in Seattle and I could see it, I might be a bit more flexible, the pictures you sent me were not that great.
As for a 500e for 10k, well, that might be a bit of a stretch to find, at least in good condition, probably 13 to 17 grand would be a better range to be looking in.
I already own a 500e BTW Jim.

These were all AMG variants in the early cars.
Post engine details and I could probably post performance figures.

Did they offer the 3.6 before 94?
I'd imagine the performance figures are in line or at least close to the 400E/E420 with a bit less torque. Depending on the rear axle ratio it may be quicker off the line.

In 1992 AMG offered the E34 @ 246HP / 268LBft.
Difficulty with identifying any AMG car is that they could build a "one off" to the owners spec.
They even built a "wide body" 320CE ( 3.2L M103-12V 245HP / 239lbft Torque, 10.1:1 CR ) in 1990.
Still not sure what he is looking at !!!!

Most of the published data was high six second 0-60 times, about one to one and one half seconds faster then stock, but much faster by four + seconds to one hundred.
The stock engines, especially the M103 had strong low end torque, but gave up a bit to an AMG modified engine at the high end.
The AMG engines breathed a lot better then the stock M103/M104.
