depending on the offset, you could pull it off. I have 225/45/17 in front and 245/40/17 in back. I'm lowered 2 coils in front and 1.5 in back. You will probly need to roll your fenders, but that's a 1 hour job. I dont remember the offset from the top of my head, but if you check out page 22 in the w124 picture thread youll find it in my post along with some images.

235/40/17 would probably be a better bet.

Mine is 225/45/17" with a 37 offset. No rubbing unless I really get into a body roll or hit a ditch.

Running 245/45/17 on all 4 corners without rubbing, but not lowered. At this point I couldnt lower the car as it would rub - as it is i get very minor rubbing if i fully compress. The key is to make sure that front offset is just right to squeeze every extra mm out of it - to small and youll hit your suspension bits, to high and youll hit the fender.

Anyway - my car has 245's cause it came that way and I havent located a decent set of wheels for the car yet. I know i can just change the tires but would rather just change the wheels why im at it. This is also why thier are no pictures . The yahoo that did the wheels got lucky on the fronts or at least i keep telling myself that.

At one point I'd lowered my car on H&R's (which I still have if anyone's interested) and I put on my 18x8 Carlsson 1/6's which I had bought for my W202. They would rub like crazy over bumps so I took the wheels and springs off and I've been driving the car stock. There any way I can run those wheels without causing rubbing? I have 225-40/18's on the wheels and I'd love to run these on my W124. They're beautiful wheels.

I have 18x8 ET 35 Carlsson 2/6's and they don't rub AT ALL and my car is DUMPED. I suggest 215 40 18 tires. "

That's how I roll."
