Did you vacuum-bag the fiberglass door shells when set in the mold?? What about the carbon fiber? Awesome progress, this will be quite a treat on the ring!

How are you going to make the CF panels that are a different shade from each other match up?

i don't think they're a different shade, look at the pic of where the door meets the fender, i think the weave on each piece is at a slightly different angle, so the light is reflecting off them differently so they look like different shades... i could be wrong though, coz the front fender always looks lighter than the door, even from the other angle. not sure how they look in real life though, maybe less noticeable??

the car is looking good though man, you need to hurry up and get it finished!

That's my point/concern that due to the properties of CF, he'll end up with a checkerboard of off shade panels. I'd have a painter use a light tint to match up all the panel....

Is the internal roll cage already welded in? If so, how are you going to resolve the rust issues? If not, I assume you plan to take it out and paint it or something right?

It's not JUST dust, as clearly shown in the pics where it has been wiped away.

Fender is bluish black, door is greyish black.

That's not dust.

Regardless, this is the BE all END all of 500Es!!!

Agreed, but the dust is pretty bad. I dont think you can see the actual fender color anywhere in any of those photos. haha.

We've been following this thread for soooo long! Its a shame the majority of us will never be able to see it in person.
