Anyone have likes/suggestions on springs/shocks for said car ...just picked one up and the wife actually wants it low(er) (as do I) . I'm happy to oblige her ...

Range Rover Classic
RBYCC whose twin turboed his 88 coupe swapped the stock coil springs for HRs. I assume there are Sportline versions available?

Sportline swaybars are also available for the E320 coupe (assuming yours is not already a sportline).

Thanx all...I'm well aware of what is available for the car...just hoping someone that has a Cabby and has lowered it will give up their thoughts with living with their particular set-up.

I was surprised to find out the Cabby weighs more than the 500E ! Guess its not too surprising but this is our first German drop-top...

I must remember this car is for the wife and kids too; mostly....the 500E guys have me pulling fenders and transplanting a M119 in it at 40K miles already!....which doesn't sound too crazy actually.

Well what if she needs to elude pursuers in a high speed chase? These things happen.

which doesn't sound too crazy actually.
Well naturally.

Very Slow Mercedes
on my 95 Cab I used Eibach's with biggest spring pads, later added Bilstein sport front and Bilstein heavy duty rear shocks, with factory delivered 17x7.5 AMG Monoblocks..Never liked the ride...
My Current set up on my 3600 lbs Cab is
Bilstein sport front
Eibach springs front
18mm spring pads front
18X8 AMG SL wheel
Bilstein sport rear
New Factory rear springs
18mm spring pads
18x9.5 AMG SL wheels 265/30/19
Ride is very good-but my cab is raked-lower in the front by about 1.2 inch

I will be adding Sportline or AMG sway bars soon-this is what I have but it may not help you my cab is lighter than a 500e by a few hundred pounds,as it is a euro spec model with a 4 cyl Turbo, runs right by 500E though.

AMG
Fire off an email to Gert at www.carnewal.com or Mbenznl as they should be able to source cab-spec Sportline bits. IIRC, the Sportline was not available in the cab here in the states....but I could be wrong.

Hello Coastline

Can I ask what the offset is on the SL rims on your car....encouraged that an SL rims fits the .066 ; That's wide rubber you got for a W124 too...garsch.

Anyone know if there is an extra panel bolted or welding inside the rear seat sides? I cannot get out a small ding in the top fender thru the window channel or thru the chrome covering access hole on top of the jamb...and not wanted to drill a port in the door jamb just yet. TIA
