I was following a pre facelift W124 sedan the other day and
low and behold it was rockin a gen 1 AMG bodykit.
lowered on pentas. **** looked factory fresh.
anyways. gen 1 on the pre face lifts imo.
gen 2 on the 94-95s.
btw the kits are out there. you may have to do a bit of searching
but if you want one bad enough you will find one.
believe me I'm still looking for a gen 2 LOL.
I have a family friend in europe who is looking for me.

Japan is the promise land for rare W124 AMG parts if you have a method when it comes to shipping. If anyone finds a company in Japan who will take care of shipping and etc, let me know.

There are plenty in the land of the rising sun but finding a source to ship it to you will be the most difficult as most people who are selling them will not ship internationally. Remembered tried using companies who would buy it for you and ship it out to you for a small fee but the item was too big so they couldn't do it.

My house forwarder is Nippon Express USA ( Nittsu Express) and I have a liason office in Tokyo and Osaka.
Nothing is ever too big ( or too small ), just have to pay the freight !!!
I export on a weekly basis, but can easily import...matter of fact the individual who did some recent paintwork on the parts for my 300CE has asked me to import a clutch pack, not available in the USA, for a road race cycle.

I've been doing business with Japan on a daily basis since 1978.

I've seen plenty of things I've wanted to get from the Japanese Auction sites in regards to AMG parts but haven't had luck with shipping so I gave up. Luckily, I landed a job with Mercedes for awhile so I was just able to order everything through my work. I don't work there anymore but at least I got everything I wanted/needed.

Its strange that the Japanese don't embrace Ebay like we do, they appear to prefer Yahoo auctions.

I too have had no luck getting any of these sellers to ship to USA. Most don't even reply.

for the pre-facelift model, the only thing that goes is the gen1, trust me on that... the car already has a boxy shape, and the gen2 kit is rounder, a bit "girlish", def. not suitable ....
god i want to shoot myself right now!
