I just think in retrospect that it was a real shame (and misplaced energy) that the kid would throw himself on the fire here. He didn't deserve comments like, "Don't ask don't tell", "Maybe if you found the right girl you could be bi", "You chose who you are" and "Dude you have to be bipolar". Nice to know there are so many resident clinical psychologists and 'experts' on homosexuality. But then, in a moment of weakness he had to say he was 'gay' on a MB motorhead board. He was just trying to reach out to someone.
I wish him the best...it doesn't take a clinical psychologist to see the kid has more heart in his little finger, than the frail ego types that come in here with their flippant responses to most things written. Whatever he's driving now, I hope he's getting some pleasure out of it.

It has been my experience working with youth for the last 12 years that there are some who see any attention as good attention...for a time at least. I think Rio just needed people to think about him. Who knows the why, but he might just need some human interaction and through that he finds more of himself. I know we are getting all social worker here but that is why I didn't really hammer the kid too hard. Remember sometimes that the actions of a few can have major impact on the paths an individual may take. Some kids need a level of acceptance because they have none in the rest of their lives. Keep that in mind when you are slammin Kids like Rio.
Food for thought...or ridicule whatever your flavor.

Rio was mostly amusing, but when he turned these CAR related boards into his own personal life venting drama format, he lost some of us.

RHW, not sure what "fight" you are talking about? If you're talking about why zero took a pathetic stab at me and I replied-we have a 'thing'. Most definitely not your fight.
