help with modding my w124

ok guys, i need some help. i been wanting to fix my 1993 300E for a while now. it is bone stock right now, and i just want to mod it up to have a clean look. maybe a clean drop. with some clean headlights or something. not really sure where to get started. the rims are 16" with 225/45 tires. i think. well anyways,

what springs would be good to have a nice and clean drop with some 16's?

will i be fine with stock shocks?

someone guide me! thanks

Those look like 15s... I would throw some 17s on it and lower it, keep the chrome going, as black and chrome is the sickest combination, imho.

to me they look like 16's, that extra inch from the s class rims adds a lot to the car... i wish someone made a replica in 18", i would be all over it!
hbk, it's recommended that you replace your shocks with lowering springs, since most probably yours are quite old and won't be able to take the extra punishment of being compressed with the springs.... having said that, a lot of people get by without doin it, so go figure!

Have you changed the hood? That's not a 1993...

I would replace the gold hood star with chrome.

Do something like this:

I would get some lowering springs, european headlights
and the 94-95 red/clear tails. You've got yourself
a really clean car and those wheels would be perfect
with a drop. Very period correct. -
EDIT:I've noticed you've got the 94 front end on already lol.
just get the springs and tails and you'll be set.

dropping your car

your car would look pleasingly updated and still afford a comfortable ride by swapping in some H&R springs. i have these on my 1994 smoke silver (light metallic gold) E500 with 3 piece forged BBS wheels. the fronts are 8.5in x 16in dia while the rears are 9in x 16in dia.

WHADDUP BEN!?

Yeah, Time to organize a Socal club meets but the problem with most local W124 owners is that they tend to flake, not interested etc etc...

By the way Ben - sign up here. my mb online . com

We have frequent Socal Meets and it'll be good to have an OG like yourself come out sometime.

I don't think we're flakes as much as the car being disassembled and in multiple boxes in the garage lolz. I'm barely putting on the final interior pieces and the car is going back into the shop to tear apart the tranny and add my new ceramic coated headers No more ugly headers for me bois !!!

Haven't had much time to concentrate on the W124 as I'm working on the bike and the W140 as well. Just put OG Brabus 20's on the W140 and about to install HID at TWS this weekend. In about a month or so everything will be complete then I can contemplate which ride to take to the meets the pimp big body W140 or the slammed OG W140 or maybe pull up and smoke all the AMG guys with my stretched big bore/nitrous ZX7. Hey do me a favor and see if you can track down a Brabus exhaust for my W140. You're always good at finding sh*t.

Did you paint and install your kit yet?
