--Side molding question--

""The backs are all fine where the mounting clips go in with no damage. Most of the attachment clips are included with the exception of 1 or 2 on a couple of panels (the clips are only about a buck a piece at the dealer)""

Mercedes-Benz dealerships do in fact sell the clips seperately. You just have to be VERY specific with them as to what you want and it helps even better if you know the part number.
They usually perfer to sell you the complete molding since it comes with everything - the easier route.
cost close to 200USD just to clip my 1980 280CE, a coupe!
Post part numbers and pricing if you go!!!

edit: when i took my moldings off, i broke alot of the clips. i just went to the local benz mechanic (its better to have a good relationship with them) and got them from him..
i'd look around...the junkyard maybe? just take em off gently
