If you want lights that look cool, you can pretty much get whatever you want that happens to fit your personal taste... projector, blue, crystal, clear, whatever. Just don't expect the light output to be impressive.

If you want the ultimate in light output, with a proper beam pattern, so you can see where you're going on dark nights - get standard Euro lights (preferably OE Hella/Bosch, but Depo/Tyc are a decent alternative at half the price). Install Osram Hyper H4 bulbs (not SilverStars, not PIAA, not blue anything, and not HID conversions). Install relays & oversize wiring for anything larger than about 70/65.

For even better high beams, get the 500E Euro lights, but you'll lose your fog lights... and the Euro 500E lights are very expensive now. I've got this setup on two of my cars and believe me, the light output is unreal. I've had more than one person think my low beams were high beams... and then I flipped on high beams and it became daylight. The output is roughly equal to HID but without the beam pattern problems of HID (which were never meant to be used with a halogen reflector & lens), and without the loss of low/high beam capability of most HID setups. Photos of my lights, relays, bulbs, etc are at this link.

For some tech articles about why blue bulbs, HID conversions, and PIAA/etc bulbs are not the best idea (other than for looks)... check out this link:

If you want to buy the Osram Hyper bulbs (which are not gimmick bulbs - they really work, trust me)... Peter Burgeson sells them on eBay. The light output is far greater than the SilverStars or other claimed +30%/+50%/+whatever% bulbs:
