offset question
I have a 94 e320 and my buddy gave me a set of carlsson 18x8,5 with an et35 offset it has 225x40x18 on all 4 the 124 is stock suspension will the wheels fit without any issues rubbing suspension parts or fenders, would really appreciate the info and suggestions, thanks!

I run 18x8 Carlsson 2/6's ET35 on 215 tires all around and my car is dumped LOW. I don't rub unless I go up steep inclines and have to turn simultaneously... but for my car I think its at the limit....for SURE in the front. I suggest you also check out the sticky'd running gear thread here that I created, someone might already be running that setup. Hope that helps!

Vehicle is lowered about 1.5" and zero interference, rubbing, etc under any condition.
You probably won't have a problem with a stock suspension, but the only way to know is to bolt them on and take a short ride

with tirerack.I think stock is 41 et with 7inch rims,correct?
Et 35 and a 8.5 rim is going to be to wide for the w124.
going to 18's make sure to get a good alignment done or your tire life will be nada.

No, DONT check with tirerack, they are wrong. They said 18x8 et 35 wouldnt fit and they are clearly wrong. Listen to US and read the threads in this section. Please gather more info on the subject before posting, ohlord.

You may need to roll your fenders, but if you have the rims and tires already, slap them on and see what happens (like RBYCC said).
If you have a stock suspension, I think you will puke in your mouth when you see what your car looks like with 18's. I bet you will end up forking out the cash to have it lowered... in which case, rubbing will be more likely.
I also have 18x8 et35's on 225/40 R18's. no real rubbing issues. My concern for you is that the extra .5" width on the rims might cause the rims themselves to rub on the struts. Mine appear to be VERY close to rubbing on the struts... your tires will be fine.

I am sure it should be with ok your setup right now, specially if you did't lower the car. But if you do lower it like 1", make sure you install Bilstein HD/sport shock.

it is the 1/6 I think it's the first generation, I have searched the other site, and want to thank you all for the suggestions , I am keeping my hopes alive that it will not hit any struts or suspension part with the extra .5, thanks again!

I searched the the forum and there is one guy up in seattle with an 18x8.5 et35 setup and had noiisues, I tested mine on stock suspension the front cleared no problem with a 235x40 tires the back was the puzzling thing for me I put the rear wheel with a 245x40 and the wheels was not moving put the car down with all 4 18x8.5 the rear was not moving seems like it was on parking brakes could it be a caliper hitting it or the lugs are too long, i will try to put a spacer tomorrow on the rear to see if it is a caliper, I am definitely looking for help or has anyone encountered this type of a problem, some sites says w124 with an 18x8.5 has to have the et35 offset wiht whide wheela rches if it is a carlsson I am putting on a carlsson 1/6 , it is the first one I think, has the oz brand at the back, please help!
