I'm glad you said it first! I was thinking I must be
. I'd rather have 3 500E's. I wonder what the interior looked like before they spent 10 grand ruining it. For $90,000 you would think they could have replaced the fan shroud and re-installed the OA temp sensor, too.

1994 E320 (current)
I personally like the 1.5 inch gap between the front bumper and the grill.
If I had $90,000 dollars to spend on cars I would have about 6 of them.
$5500 Dodge Omni GLH (goes like hell) shelby turbo (yes a dodge omni)
$20,000 E500
$20,000 66 chevy nova II 327/375 hp .202 heads 4 spd
$16,000 Subaru STI (an old bug eye)
$15,000 SL 500
$10,000 94 miata supercharged project car (gotta keep my hands dirty)
After all that I would have some left over for a little 4x4 truck to take fishin. Man can't live on pavement alone.

"Alcantera design interior"
What? They even spelled it wrong. Alcantara is some Italian fabric company. Below is cut from their site -
Widely acknowledged as a luxury and elegant material, Alcantara® has been increasingly chosen by designers for car interior design and refined upholstery within the automotive sector for some years.
Innovative, stylish and incredibly versatile, Alcantara® is a perfect solution for car interior design, combining effectively elegance, functionality and resistance.
Perhaps this 90K-rat is a bad example of the Italian product?

W124's
There are people saying the car has been in a front end collision judging by the front AMG bumper.
It's missing a few pieces and the obvious is the Reinforcement bar which goes across the whole bumper to prevent that gap and sagging look.

There has been an ongoing discussion on another forum.
I ran the VIN and it was originally a Canadian delivery vehicle, proven by the sticker in French on the dash.
This in itself is rather odd.
It's only a two valve engine which is unusual, body panels don't fit and a textured paint has been applied to the lower panels.
Don't get me started on the interior...![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
If this started as a real AMG Hammer it is truly a crime to do what was done to it....best not even to paint and sell it as a very valuable survivor.
If it's mechanically sound and a professional engine install , I'd go to a $20K-$25K max range, but would rather buy a pristine 500E / E500

he's probably just testing the waters, since he knows it's supposed to be so rare... when he gets no e-mails or just e-mails telling him he's a moron, he'll have to open it up to regular auction or something

No offense but given the condition of your car, you better take a few more pieces than that.

Come on, it's not THAT bad...I'd give an easy $12,000 for it. I just hate the interior, though. Gotta get the wood back. A Benz without wood is like a...hmmm...I don't know. It's just supposed to have wood!
