Directions to Birch Bay GTG April 20th

Getting here is simple:
From Canada,
Cross at the Peace Arch Border or the 176th St. "Truck Crossing".
This will put you directly onto the I-5 Hwy heading south.
Turn off at Exit#266, heading West on
Grandview Rd./ Hwy 548.
Continue West on Grandview/548 for approx. 12km (estimated, don't hold me to this), past the Blaine Rd. intersection, until you reach Point Whitehorn Rd. and turn right, heading North.
Continue on this road without turning and it will become Birch Bay Dr. as you enter the Birch Bay State Park.
Keep following this road alongside the beach (on your left)until you come to a cinderblock washroom bldg on your right, next to a large parking lot. You're there!!
Look for MB drivers, wishing they had newer cars with factory Nav. systems.
From Seattle and the South:
Head North on the I-5, past Bellingham, for about ten minutes.
Turn off at Exit#266, heading West on
Grandview Rd./ Hwy 548.
Continue West on Grandview/548 for approx. 8 miles (estimated, don't hold me to this), past the Blaine Rd. intersection, until you reach Point Whitehorn Rd. and turn right, heading North.
Continue on this road without turning and it will become Birch Bay Dr. as you enter the Birch Bay State Park.
Keep following this road alongside the beach (on your left)until you come to a cinderblock washroom bldg on your right, next to a large parking lot. You're there!!
Look for MB drivers, wishing they had newer cars with factory Nav. systems.
See you there!

That would be fun, to have a mini-convoy down, but I hate to disappoint you, as my gf wants to drive down Friday night.
My wife is a little P O'd about that, too.
- just kidding!I will let you know if plans change, I'd like to do that.
Regardless, the odd informal cruise in the city would be good when the weather improves.

I'm trying to have my cake and eat it, too!!!
(as well as wrest this whole thing away from you)
You singin' swingles just don't understand that the lives of us pensioners are not always our own!

I suggest (needless to say, open to discussion, and only one option) we eat at The Sand Castle, directly north on Birch Bay Rd. , across the street from the water.
I believe this place is licenced as a restaurant as well as a bar, so those under 21 can join us.

Drive slowly, but get here somehow Berti - we're expecting you for the Vader/Terminator showdown!

Has anyone considered inviting the B-Class owners over at Benzworld? There are quite a few Vancouverites there too.
Just a warning to be VERY careful entering Blaine. Watch your speed limit as it is 25mph only within Blaine city centre. I got a totally B/S speeding ticket the last time when I was pulled over the side of the road entering something into my GPS!
I contested it but it was too much of a hassle to subpoena the officer in the end.

I did say "open to all MB's".
If you know them, please let them know about this.
Will look forward to seeing you, Inspired.

That's where I live.
As it turns out, I will be going down alone, on Sunday morning.
I'm into joining up to head down there, if you're not still smarting from being ditched?

Actually, I wonder if you and I have met before. You don't happen to have a bunch of older SL's as well do you?
I think that we can pull some B-Class owners down and over and make it interesting!
Can't wait!

Sounds like we'll have a few people perhaps.

Probably easier to meet at a landmark, say Coquitlam Ctr. Mall (that's a 'landmark' in this neck of the woods) at 10am in the SW corner of the parking lot. That's @ Johnson and Barnet, I believe.
We'll need some time to drive down to the border and maybe up to an hour to get through it.
Sound good?
Been looking forward to this.

We won't require 1 hour to get through the border, heh. I'll tell you guys a little trick that will help us to get through in half the time through Peace Arch.
You know, we could all meet as a group somewhere in Cloverdale too, off the 176 st exit.
Does everyone here have FRS radios?
