New grille....let me know what you think...

So this weekend i spent an hour making this new grille but I'm not sure about it. I also worked on my side skirts which I'm sure no one has ever seen on a w124. I'm also working on other little projects before it goes off to paint. I still need ideas for a new front bumper and a rear bumper.

I have other ones I'm working on too...

the work looks very clean. But I can't really form an opinion without a picture of the entire front of the car.

Is this better? I don't want to give away too much...

Yes, it's from a 300c and to my surprise the angle is almost perfect..

do one with the horizontal slats color-matched as well. So far not my cup of tea, but the crafstmanship looks good.

You need the one centre vertical bar chrome to distinguish that it's MB not Chrysler.

Here it goes...

It's just an idea that i wanted to play around with. Now i know i can take any other aftermarket 300 grille and do something with it. Also my front bumper is another idea i had but i dunno if you noticed it...

what'd you do with the front bumper? i want to try a lip designed for a different car with similar length specs and just bolt it up.

I admit that at one time I got caught up with the grille thing too, but I forgot about it after seeing the inferior quality of the aftermarket replacement grilles. Besides, I really don’t think the aftermarket grilles look better than OEM.

What is so bad about the OEM grille?
That is after it is painted black.
I would like to get the filler piece and ditch the front license plate, but I think the grille looks good.

The w210 bumper is close to size and shape but you'll need to do some fiberglass work to make it look nice. If you notice the w124 WALD bumper is just a w210 bumper with a AMG type lip...

W124-1992 300D 2.5 Turbo
Have you attempted this? How much cutting and fiberglass work is needed to a fit the lower half of a w210 bumper on a w124? I've been looking for information about this mod everywhere and you seem to be the only one who has any idea lol

BTW, all black looks great for yer grille
