Mercedes benz 1991 300ce(RIP), now an 89 300ce
officially for sale my 300ce
dads making me do it
officially for sale. white 1989 300ce, with roughly 190K miles on it. Odo was replaced at 170K miles with one that said 130K. most of the w124 guys know the deal with my car. recent fender bender, was replaced with OEM and repainted. may need a new passenger side headlight as well. tranny shifts a bit rough but i believe adjusting teh vacuum modulator and a can of seafoam transtune can fix that right up. there are 2 small dents on the roof from where a tree branch fell on it during a thunderstorm. other than that, the car has been very good to me. comes with OZ Racing/MSW rims. interior is in pretty good shape. i love the car but i may be forced to sell it and im just wondering if anyone has any offers. its located in Central New Jersey. any questions, opinions/suggestions just ask. the car runs very well and ive had very few major mechanical problems with it. ignition system was replaced last summer as well as plugs, wires, and dist cap and rotor. overall the car is great and im really hoping i dont have to part with it. by the way, i put a bumper cover thats in better shape on it. pictures dont show it though.

i like it and i hate to get rid of it, but there comes a time in every young mans life where their father makes them get rid of their old school benz

why is your dad making you get rid of it? what are you going to replace it with?..I bought my 300E 5 years ago....I liked it so much I bought a 91 CE 2 years ago. These cars are safe, dependable, overbuilt and easy to work on. I'm 45 and I hope my kids will want to drive a W124 instead of some goofy rice burner. Two years ago I paid $9,000 for my like new 91 with 59,000 actual miles.

I think you should put a price on it....you might get more responses. I don't like to make opening offers for many reasons, but that's just me.

aright, currently the throttle body isnt opening so theres a problem with the MAS or throttle body itself. either way, $2000 OBO takes it....not bad for a coupe

I has one :\ The KBB and other value sites don't look favorably upon w124s right now, not even the 300ce. Plus, as you've noted, you've had some issues and the dent on the roof is a ***** to repair and may put some people off. You just have to wait for the right buyer, like me and our 400e. Few people who have not driven/owned a w124 can appreciate what they are and can't see spending money on them because they are just "old cars".
