stereo removal and install also cruise control??
Looking for a step by step for stereo removal and install. Done alot but never done mercedes. I have the stereo with the balance control on the consel.
Also cruise control works kick on then it itll give a good jerk and kick off. after like ten minutes. if you can steer me in the right direction.

Thank you does anyone have the layout of what wires are what. I could figure it out but wanna do it quick and right also Am i going to need a stereo install kit and if so were is a good place to get one

Is this for the 86 300e?
If so, once you pull the becker out you will see a 4 wire connector which incorporates the following wires -
brown - ground
black with yellow stripe - 12v (switched)
red with white stripe - 12v constant
gray with blue stripe - illumination
The blue wire that is terminated with the spade connector is the antenna wire.
Since the original style in these w124 incorporated the console mounted fader it would be wise to bypass the fader in order to use the full power of your new headunit. Otherwise, it will run in 2 channel mode in the factory configuration.
What I would suggest is a harness that crutchfield sells in order to not have to cut the factory wires.

You will find lots of info on the cruise control. You may be able to resolder the connections in the computer and get it to work.

It has a brand new computer in it so hopefully thats not it. Ill look thanks.
