Please help me identify these wires

Im mostly concerend with my dash lights not turning on. The guy who wired this did a real hack job. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

BTW i tried several times to resize the pictures. It WOULD not WORK! Sorry!

Okay,

first pic shows the power plug. It is numbered 1 - 4

pin 1 = brown = ground
pin 2 = black with yellow stripe = +12v switched
pin 3 = grey w/blue stripe = illumination
pin 4 = red = +12v constant


2 black and white thicker gauge wires going into the front of that plug are not original as you might have guessed by the way the wire ends are exposed...I would trace those 2 wires and see where they lead.

These are the plugs for the rear speakers...the original becker in your car was a 2 channel stereo and the signal was split at the factory fader that is mounted on your console. If these were disconnected and the rear speakers work then it was already bypassed.

The plug numbered 1-5 is for the facotry alarm that was incorporated into the stereo and is not used in your new install....tape it up and bury it.

that will do it! The illumination pin is probably what the problem is!

The black wire with the spade connector is a ground for the turn signals.
