--Streching Tires--

okay so i decided to change my wheels to the same ones but have the rear ones staggered am doing them 9 wide on the back.... and the offset is 35 as well..
so would 205/40/18 be a to big of a strech or would look nice... the rims have about 2 inch lip or so..

ohh and would having all 9's arond look good or not?

like i said in the e-mail your offest will be safe for a tire like that, you iwll have no issues, but make sure to get a tire that stretches properly

In the white Sportline I am running with some rubbing (but fenders are not rolled yet...soon):

18x8
ET31
225/45/18 front
245/40/18 rear
AMG Aero II wheels and Michelin Pilot sport tires

(the black Sportline has 17s)

why would you stretch a 205 on a 9" wheel... :hmm:

Just go with a 225 or a 235...

There's no way 9s will work in the front. As low as you are I'm not sure about the rear..but better chance for them

lots of cars
If you want to stretch smaller tires on bigger rims get tires with reinforced sidewalls. 205 won't fit on a 9" wide rim or i'll look like your riding on the rim edge. Also, stretching tires makes tire crack on the edge faster. People may have different opinions but from what i've seen it does it after a 6 months to a year.

This is a 17x8 oz super tourismo on a 205/40/17 tire i have....it's a mild stretch but 9" is too wide for 205....

those Nankang are very cheap but im not too sure with how they stretch, the sidewall looks pretty small so im pretty sure you will have a nice little stretch on there. Im using Pirelli P-Zero Nero's on my OZ futura's and those have a avery nice stretch

I run 215 on an 8 and I have nice stretch. 215 on a 9 will be pretty rad.

It's all about what tire brand and sidewall design you go for....try to stretch some michelins ps2 and i'll look pretty wierd....Try some falkens with a reinforced sidewall...or nitto 555

and you know whats ghayyy... discount tire wont install any wheel that is a bit streched lol... WTF
It's a PIA to get those tires over the rim hump in the middle that's why. They don't need that much work and can't give you a warranty on wear either...
