If you don't have many friends then remove all the seats except the drivers.
Tear out the rugs, padding, door panels, headliner, console, radio, speakers, and anything else in the interior.
You don't need a spare tire, jack or tools.
Wear light clothing, drive barefoot, and eliminate donuts and happy meals from your daily regimen.
Fill your tank a few gallons at a time.
If that doesn't give you the results you want, then start removing body panels.....

Try driving with your windows up also to reduce wind resistance. If possible, lock your windshield wiper in a completely vertical position as to streamline it with usual airflow. Or better yet, remove it all together, its summertime! Same deal with the antenna, keep your radio off so the ******* doesnt go up and rob you of precious horsepower. If you still have a hood ornament, lean it back as much as possible.
I mean, you're always talking about unique ideas. Well...there are some.
Also, you can go totally awesome and take off your hood, doors, trunk, hell maybe even cut the top.
Oh and last but not least, remove your seat belts. They're WAY too overrated these days.

In all seriousness Rio, the best way to improve your gas mileage is to be the accelerator **** and not gun it from every light (though we all know you would never smash the pedal to the floor at every light
). Go exactly the speed limit and under when possible. You basically gotta adopt the "low and slow" temperment to driving. When people do wieght reduction it is ussually for performance and so they can be lighter in or out of turns and such. You drive a 3700lbs car. 100-250lbs is not going to make a huge difference in your mpg. Properly inflate your tires. windows up and drive ultraconservativly(like all the people you hate to get stuck behind) don't let the car idle for long periods of time and that kinda stuff. Weight redux is not your answer driving slower is.

Unnecessary weight increases a vehicle's energy cost and decreases fuel economy. For passenger cars and light trucks, there is a fuel penalty of approximately 0.09 MPG for each 100 pounds of weight. For example, having an unnecessary 50 pound tool box in the trunk of a car can decrease that vehicle's fuel economy by .045 MPG.
Fuel Economy Benefit: 1-2%/100 lbs Equivalent Gasoline Savings: $0.04-$0.08/gallon

And as for complaining about you car's weight, why? You drive a TOTAL of 4 miles a day to and from work. That means you can drive 5 days a week and only use about a gallon! You can't afford 5 dollars a week for gas?

You have made your car even more ghetto to save gas on a 2 mile commute. The cost/benefit of what you've done is totally out of whack...

this also helps in the fact of the passenger seat was broken and i am working on it right now it would not slide back or forth. theres junk stuck in the slide.
the other problem is my work has cut my hours to let new people in for summer. less cash cant wast it all on gas. i am making less than 700$ a month
not really a need to do all this but it is only for the week then i put the seats back in. im bad with money i drive about 600 miles a week im trying to make a
plan to follow so i can save some cash. starting out harsh like this is how i work.

1 ruff idle
2 shuddering
3 idle goes low then high
4 normal idle
5 low idle when slowing car down. then back to normal
6 random idle some times
7 hissing from motor
out of all the problem it had when i got the car this is all the major stuff left to fix i hope the 400 bucks im saving up will help fix some things
