300E got smashed

1990 Mercedes 300E
300E got smashed
In the parking lot.
A Nissan Pathfinder backed into it in the parking lot pretty hard. The back left side is dented in, and it reeks like it has no CAT on it...
Well, here are pictures for you guys. Kind of hard to see, but whatever...
Its taped down because the trunk won't close.

I know the horrible feeling
It really is sad when someone wrecks your car, especially when it is a car that you have meticulously maintained for many years.
It broke my heart when some a #*^*@! ran into my car. He started lying from the minute he stepped out of his car, which actually wasn't his. Ironically, the liar was driving an older W124 that was in a very bad state of repair. Fortunately I called for the police and waited at the scene of the accident. The police officer documented everything and at times showed frustration with the knucklehead that ran into my car. It was a good thing I included the police, because even in the face of the police report that stupid liar kept it up and delayed insurance payment approval from the real owner of the car.
Anyway, the car did get fixed and everything looks fine, although it still bothers me that now my car has an accident on its record. Nothing structural was really damaged and I went to a very well regarded body shop so hopefully I will not encounter problems down the road.

Thanks. It is well maintained, but as you can see from the pictures, the paint on the panel that got screwed up is starting to fade a bit.
Funny, don't those big SUVs have back-up cameras?

lol, I would feel horribly guilty hitting and running somebody. I had a girlfriend in highschool who hit and ran somebody (I was not there). She was in a parking garage and backed into somebody with her suburban. She apparently parked the car, got out, and left a note on the person's windshield with fake information.
WTF? I really didn't get that. Evil!
