It is a nice car, but the wheels aren't special. Pentas can be had brand new NOS for $2000. It's a nice car, and I'd rather have that SL than a w124 Cab (and I do!), but the SL AMG should never go down in value. My only fear about buying a car like that is that it just might be so nice and in such perfect condition that you never want to drive it for fear of screwing it up.
I bought the E320 Cab so my wife would stop driving my restored 71 280SL...
Her daily driver is a low mileage C43.
She likes open cars, but the Cab has a power top, where the Pagoda roadster has a manual top which if not handled properly could bend the frame !!
I agree with having a too perfect car....
