Looking for some new wheels... 16 or 17

Hi, I am looking for some 16 or 17 inch wheels for my W124 sedan.
I like the later model E430 wheels around year 2000, 5 spoke or even the CLK E320 coupe style. Must be in very good condition.

Thanks

wheels for the W124

Yes those wheels look great and I have seen them on a few cars.
Do you mind sharing what you paid for a used set of 4?

I just bought a set of those wheels with nearly new Michelin tires for $400 on craigslist. Not perfect but in very nice condition.

well referring to the original posters question...id go with 17s unless you can go as low as stle320 here.....cuz i have those wheels also and there in 16s...and im without a drop....i want 17s so i dont have to dump the car that much...but im loving that air ride he has on it...

stle320 what kind air ride? universal or air runner? and how much did you spend on just the air system?

I apologize for saying airbags...I wasn't sober last night and can't figure out why i said that. I actually have H&R sports with no pads and 50 series tires. And I have about 300 pounds of boom in my trunk too..haha

The bump pads on the springs. They have different sizes which will either lower it or raise it a little bit. I have high pressure hose as a pad so the spring is not sitting on metal. And I have the smallest ones available in the back to balance the ride out.

As for my shocks, I still have stock ones. I plan to get Bilsteins soon however.

question about your W210 wheels

STLe320,

Did you have to use different lug bolts or were stock ones ok? What size / brand tires are you running?

so you cut the hose in half to put on top of the spring?

and where do you get the different size bump pads?

I just used my stock lug bolts, and they worked fine to me. As for my tires, I have BF Goodrich Traction T/A's in 215/50/16.
