New AMG 17" Monoblocks :)
Just picked these up last week... they came in amazing condition.. I've done some searching and couldn't believe what I was seeing with these ones so I snapped them up the next day. From what I can tell they've been mounted twice.
I'm very tempted to get tires and mount them even for a month or so before switching to winter rims / tires!! wondering how it will look with the stock suspension? Also, what size tires do you guys have on 17's?

The outside should be easy to keep clean if its waxed and washed regularly cause there's so much clearcoat but the interior looks like it is an easy place for brake dust and stuff to bake on... And anyone ever tried to spray some clearcoat and wax the inside of the rim to make it easy to clean and repel dirt?
Also, is there any way I can get the old cruddy weights and glue off without damaging the clearcoat?

nevermind, found the running gear thread! LOL. actually, I noticed one member had 215 45 17 (upfront) and 235 40 17 (rear).. do the rear tires look slimmer than the fronts? why go with this setup for the same size rim, would make the rear tire have a smaller overall diameter, correct? sorry if what i'm saying is way off just curious before i go out and drop $1,000+ on a set of tires.

thanks! def staggered wouldn't have it any other way! ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
i took a measuring tape to them and the back reads as 9.5" from edge to edge and the front as 8.25" but i'm sure that's the wrong way to measure... so i'm guessing the correct measurement is 7.5" up front and 8.5" at the back?

That sounds about right. If that's the case, then my wheels are the same and I'm running 225/45-17 up front and 245/40-17 in the back.
Offsets are ET36 front and ET34 rear.
EDIT: Oh yeah you asked about why someone would run 215/45 in front and 235/40 in the rear. I assume you would wonder the same about my setup.
The second numbers (40 and 45) in a tire size are not necessarily the exact height of the tire. They are the height in relation to the width AKA the aspect ratio. So a wider tire with a certain height will have a smaller aspect ratio than a skinnier tire with the same height.
