I need help with a strange noise

I just got my 1986 300E up and running, it has been sitting for about 10 years, and did not run for that period of time. I took it out of a garage flushed the engine put new ingectors in the engine and tires and the car was running, for about two days but then i started up the car last night and took it driving and after the car heated up a little a high pitched whistling noise started comming from the right side, toward the back. Im not sure what it is i thought it was the exaust but i dont think the exust runs down that side. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or any ideas things i could do to try and fix it

Fuel pump? I don't know which side it sits on. Did you drain the tank and put fresh fuel in before running. If not you might need to replace fuel filter.

Does this noise exist when the car is moving only or when the engine is on moving or not?

the car doesnt make the noise when it first starts up, but after about 5 minutes of driving the noise starts and when the car is stopped it seams to get louder so Im not sure, but if it were the bearings wouldnt it only make that noise when running. Is there any place i can go and ask besides a dealer cause i dont want to pay their prices

hmm if the noise was not coming from the back and rather the front I would say serpentine belt but other than that can you explain the noise with any other details? For example, sounds like a electric motor, grinding, etc? I'm also thinking your fuel pump could be whining, thats pretty much the only thing back there.

well the noise is a consistent noise, when you rev the engine fthe noise does not increase but it makes the noise when it is driving or stoped
