--Antilock/abs light--??
hey guys something weird goin on with the abs system that i dont know what it is... when i come to a very slow stop or like slow down on bumps you can hear this grinding sound like the breaks or not working or something? and than after a while my light comes on and the funny part is that when the light is on THe breaks dont make that noise?
is my abs system bad?
there is a guy parting his w124 around me here and he said i can have his abs system for 30bux?
what could be wrong here?

Who did your brakes?
When the pads are replaced, you should replace the ABS sensors on the calipers too.
These are very cheap and can be swapped out easily.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Sometimes re-using the old ones does not work - they're a bit delicate and easily damaged during brake pad replacement.
Check this out first OR if you paid someone for the brakejob, take the car back there.

I thought they were. I agree with 190E though. It is most likely the sensors. If the shop reused your old sensors, they may just be beginning to wear in. A lot of aftermarket pads do not have a specific place to mount the sensor. In my case, I opted to remove them all together. I pay attention to my car enough to know when my pads need to be replaced without needing a light to tell me every time, and it saves me around 6 bucks every cycle. The light is off by default, so once theyre disconnected it shouldnt some back on unless you have any real issues.
