I completely agree with you guys. but ultimately it comes down to personal opinions... some people like things that I don't like. But if it makes them happy, I shouldn't give a ****.

You guys DO realize that VIP is only called that because that's how they spell the word in Japanese to english translation. It's actually a word pronounced bippu.
It has nothing to do with actual VIP....although gangsta yakuza started the trend...
Again, I'd hardly consider gangsters VIP.

BTW - I just confirmed today that 19x8.5 +42 does not fit the front. It hits the inner wheel lip. Also, 19x8.5 +42 fits rear without any spacer and still has about 10mm-15mm left from the shock. I would live it like so the wheel can camber in when you have weight in the trunk or passengers.
For our car W124 I'm sure you can have 19x10 +45 for rear wheels without any spacer. I think the white wagon(obetski) running 19x10 +45 on his car.
Both our cars have the same carlsson rims expect mine is not staggerd.
here is the picture just to see how the front wheels fit. There is no rubbing at all! And on the back there was more than 10mm gap between my tires and rear fender lip, I want my wheels to sit flush with the fender, so thats why I add 5mm spacer to make the wheel sit flusher with the Fender. (FYI i rolled my real fender)

My carlsson 19x8.5 +40 fit like a glove on my wagon with 235/35/19 tires (no spacer) and still have some space between the suspension and the back wheels. If you running this size on the back it will fit too, but i am running 5mm spacer to make the wheels look flush with rear fender.
On the rear - The problem is not making the wheel fit. You can fit the 19x10 with the right offset. I would say +30 or even +35 would be ok but anything higher might rub the shock. The problem for such a wide wheel and camber is that it would hit the inner fender under load or on bumps. Try it and i guess let me know what happened. 19x10 +45 has 7.2" of backspace and i don't know if we have that much space on the rear.
I would live it like so the wheel can camber in when you have weight in the trunk or passengers.
I would not run that high of an offset because it might hit the the top of the inner fender. Specially when it's under load or when you have passengers sitting in the back.
I don't like giving advice on aggressive fitments that might not fit our cars. I don't want to be liable for telling someone 19x10 fits and then they don't fit or their cars get messed up. I'll try aggressive fitments on my car any day and let you guys know

On the front - Yes, I agree they fit with a +40 offset perfectly. I'm running 18x8.5 with a 39mm offset and no rubbing at all. When you go to +42 it really depends on the wheel lip but it's just way to close to the suspension. There is only about 1-3mm of space between the wheel and the strut on a +42 wheel. You need some space when the wheel turns in so it won't be hit the strut.
See this picture (this is from w124 AMG suspension conversion), you should know what i mean by looking at this picture.

Here is the picture of my car when I was running 18x10 +30 (yes its 18"...19" will be worse)
Here is the pic, 18x10 +30 on my 95'E320(sold already)

Here is the gap between inner wheels and the strut mount I measured 22mm gap, when i run 18x10 +30. That mean if I have 18x10 +45 that would be better fit.

I am not sure, how familiar are you with the front suspension of W124. The inner side of the wheels will never hit the strut even you only have 1-3mm space. It doesn't matter how hard you turn you steering left or right that inner wheels will never hit the strut unless you have a bend rims.
This is where it hits on my car..

For sue 19x10 +30 and +35 Is not OK for W124,It will stick out like an 1" (will hit your outer fender for sure. Why you say +30 is OK? Did you try once??
Here is the picture of my car when I was running 18x10 +30 (yes its 18"...19" will be worse)

OK guys I have a set of AMG (OZ) 3 peice forged wheels that are 17x8.5 ET18 and 17x10 ET17. I want to make these fit my 95 E320 Cab, I have been told that I can grind 10mm off the back side of the hub. That would put me at 17x8.5 ET28 and 17x10 ET27 BUT after reading these posts I'm not sure that it will work. Here are the wheels and here they are on another E320 Cab (not mine) What do you guys think how can I make them fit ????

Well I know that they will not work like they are now, so I just to see how much to get shaved off the back.
So you have 3pc wheels, Think about it? you can take them a part and have new barrels made or if you can find other 3pc oz wheels they should interchange. Get a new smaller outer lip and a wider inner barrel and that should change the offset to whatever you want. I been around wheels a lot because that's something i do on the side. I've had a some oz, bbs, ssr, and rays wheels before so i've been around 3pc and 2pc wheels.

Please don't do that to those wheels and don't ever follow that advice, EVER!!! You can shave off 2-3mm but 10+ is insane.

18" Monoblocks, 8,5" at the front and 9,5" at the rear. Offset is 35 all around. Tires: 215/40-18 infront and 225/40-18 at the rear. Car lowered aprox 40mm. Not rolled any fenders, but did notice some rubbing from the rear fenders when the car was loaded with people.
