Meh....you need to paint more of the wheel instead of leaving all 85 lips polished. The wheel looks like it's 11" in diameter, not 17 lol....wayyyy to 70s for our cars.

That's what I was gonna say. Get rid of some of the lip and it would look a lot better!

These are "period" pieces, though. AMG would have painted them this way and they would be "correct" on a car from that time. A nice complement for the right car.

I agree however, I don't like the look (heresy, I know) and I would not want to date my car that way, personally.

i like em because they're period correct
imho our w124s look best when modded according
to the period of time they were released.

Period correct yes, but they are 17" wheels and three piece, which by their nature, look even smaller than a regular one piece 17" wheel. I have seen these on 500e's and the fit is spot on, but they just look too small.

its subjective.

there are ways to modernise a vintage look, and keep it contemporary. look at vintage dodge challenger rallye wheels and the ones they had on a concept at SEMA. painting the rims completely black except for a polished lip would do this very nicely.

valid points.
but they're probably way stronger than the replica 18s I bought off
albert lastyear. I managed to destroy two of those last month.
worst wheels ever. Done venting.

Actually probably not, these things are really bad about cracking around the bolt holes.....
