Help...Funky idle...

Hi all, I have a wonderful 175,000 mile 260E. After driving for more than 20 minutes I get very high idle after shifting into park.

My long time mechanic says Bosch part needed is now included with throttle body... $900 whereas shortwhile ago Bosch made just the actuator sensor...it sold for about $65 -70. The part needed measures resistance across a length of material and adjusts idle accordingly.

Anyone know if other folks make this part?? Hella?? GE?? Mechanic/friend has been is Benz business for 25 years and is perplexed that Bosh stopped making that individual part.

Thanks in advance

Chas

Why not grab a good used one at the scrapyard? Should be very cheap.
Or look on ebay. I got the entire unit with a distributor for $90.
