300E Squirrel-induced air injection problem

My "Check Engine" indicator has been on for some time, and with the help of this forum, I have (I hope!) identified the diagnostic code underlying the warning. The impulse counter indicates a fault with the air injection system.

Bakground info: The light came on after the car was stored outside for several weeks, and a squirrel or rat took up residence. It took off hood insulation, etc., but I haven't yet found any wires, hoses, etc. chewed - although I suspect that's the cause of the problem. I have driven the car for several hundred miles since; there does not seem to be a performance issue.

Anyone know what wires/hoses I should look for problems that would cause this? It's a 91 300E 3.0. Thanks!

I determined the diagnostic trouble code by using the impulse counter on the readout on the OBD unit located near the battery. (Note: I'm flying a little blind here, since all my knowledge has been picked up via forums, etc. I'm not a mechanic). Attached is a pdf of the forum post I referenced to locate and decipher the code. I had an 11 pulse readout, and then referenced the document.
