nice!

did you get new custom headers, too?

how about engine performance?
no torque leak?
as I know: free flow exhausts is not the best for naturally aspirated engines

Nice, but why so small of pipe? You should be running a minimum of 2.75", I run 3" all the way back.

Ditto. That looks really tiny under there. 2.75" is at the very least the smallest I would've gone. Bends all look good tho...

I have pics of the car but ill post them once i get the wheels....also the reason i did the 2.25 is because there are two of them and usually that equals out to one 4.5 and thats pretty good for a naturally aspirated car, Ive asked a lot of performance shops and thats what i was told...so i went with that..it sounds pretty incredible though il get a nice video and post that too...Thanks for your comments though guys...if youve been in the cali area for a while you probably know me i used to come to the shows a lot with my Gray 500E...this is my third one and cant wait untill its done....

Too big a pipe for N/A engines actually decreases power though, does it not?

Yes
You actually want the diameter to increase as it goes further from the engine. Somehow, it makes more power.

But if you start with collectors/ headers that are too big, or step it up too much, you lose power too.

The theory of smaller pipes is only true to a point.

Its all due to back pressure. Generally, you want to build back pressure at the headers to keep your engine from sucking in too much oxygen running lean, which could burn a valve and reduce torque.

Bigger pipes can be run will increased horsepower however, with a stand alone fuel-air management system. This will keep your engine running at the appropriate levels without the need for back-pressure to regulate air-intake.

So from your experiences or knowledge....what do you guys think is the best set up for dual pipes on a stock engine without headers...??? Cause im really curious, I thought I had done my homework but I guess not....

You are fine...only thing different would be running the dual 2.25 back to either a 2 pipe in rear silencer or two single silencers, one on each side.
Bigger pipes aren't going to gain you much more power.

I run similar on an M103 with 2" downpipes to twin 2" magnaflow spun metal cats ( slightly different from yours ) then twin pipes back to the rear silencer.

Making more RWP then most 500 W124's..

Center silencers were not used...cats located in their place.

Ditto,

You have eliminated restriction and there are no bottlenecks. Unless you are going to start splitting hairs and put it on the Dyno with 4 different setups to find the best one you are going to be fine. Even then the amount of HP that you would gain from bottom setup to top really is nominal. It looks good, it has improved function and most likely sounds better than most of the fart-can civics that are going to try and run on you. Unless you are building a supertouring 500 like our freind S 500 R then your build looks sufficient. My Dad spent a bunch of time when he was younger in the dirt track garage and they were always trying to get the perfect exhaust with the proper backpressure and back then it was a huge deal to get it right so that your engine would not burn out by the end of a season. That being said they did not have MAS units or feul air managment systems. Some of the electroncs on the newer generations of cars has eliminated SOME of the backpressure issues but it is still in play.

Minimum would be 2.5", better would be 2.75". 3" pipe is more difficult to fit and get the bends correct, but worth the effort.

Running high flow cat(s) helps, so does eliminating the center resonator and replacing the stock restrictive rear muffler.

As for back pressure, I have seen many cars on the dyno with large exhaust piping and cars with open headers and cars with small exhaust piping. Cars with smaller piping don't put as much HP to the rear wheels, max HP is achieved with open headers, every single time. Hondas, Porsches, BMW, don't make any difference, your exhaust hurts performance (so does the cat(s).

Furthermore, never seen a open header car vs. same car with exhaust, have any issues with A/F. This includes my own personal experiences with tuning my Corvette and running different exhaust setups.

Yes, I spend too much time at the dyno, my friend owns one

I think this would make sense if you were running only one pipe...but in my case since im running too and my car is not a turbo....2.5 would be too large for two pipes....i dont know im just saying from my experience and knowledge..I think it makes sense running larger piping if the vehicle is not naturally aspirated..

Thanks for the feedback guys...
