18/8.5 Wheel fitment help

I have an 95 e420 and would like to buy my some wheels. I have my eyes on a set that meassures 18"/8.5" 35mm offset. I wanted to add 225/40/18 in the front and 235/40/18 in the rear also want to lower the car with eighter H&R or Eibach springs. Anyone with actual experience? No Air Logic please.

one bump pads up front, no pads in the rear.
I had 18x8.5 wheels with a 35 offset. 225/35/18s
also had 18x8.5 with a 25 offset. 225/35/18.
now im running 17x8s with 215/45/17.

255/45 fits on the rear w/o having to roll fenders...even 260/55 does too if your lucky w/o having to roll fenders. 225/35to45 seems to be the sweet spot for the fronts.

245/40 rubs without fenders rolled on 38mm offset...because i've that's what it did on mine, but my car is lowered on eibachs.. you can fit 20" rims if you have stock height car on 235/35/20...

LOL I had a ton of rubbing when I had 225/40/18s on my car.
I don't know if my car is just way too low or what but
i can only run 225/35s on it. And all my fenders are rolled
and the fronts are pulled.

I attest I have seen it.
...I think it looks wayyy out of place though...not stylish at all. Even 19's are a real stretch in my books...but at least they look okay.

What is the offset? And yes, it may be too low from the picture. 18x8 +38 you can run 225/40 without rubbing even 235..+35 it will rub a little on 235 on the front..

It depends how u rolled ur fender? I actually rolled them and cut them off...

Thank you guys, I just orderd me a set of wheels, H&R springs and a dynomax muffler with internal Xpipe. I will cut out all the stock mufflers. I can't wait. I should have before and after pictures up by this time of next week.
