Color match trim?

My freind and i were talking and he told me i should color match the trim on my car i dont know if this is a good idea or if anyone has done this before

its a white 91 300e trim is gray w/ chrome strip




any suggestions

Painting the lower body cladding one body color is not uncommon and looks good IMO. Look at pics to decide whether you like it...

^^ +1, unless you like the original look, painting the lower cladding looks good - or at least it does on my car...I'm not so sure how it would look on a white car.

i would not color-match with a white car, unless you paint the whole car. on lighter colors, you can see the difference in shades, it is noticeable. the darker you go the less obvious it becomes, but my advice would be to not do it with a white car.

though, the car in zorro's chop is like the awesomest white benz evarrr and everyone should wish it was theirs....

ya i was thinking of a pearl white and match everything else but my paint is pretty nice and dont really want to get rid of it although the owner before me covered all the chips with touch up so it wouldnt rust and it looks like ish with the marks all over the place
