1987 300E
selling my 300e

Hey guys my tranny got ****ed up the transmission shop said it is the piston that engages the auto clutch. Since i just had it rebuilt like 18 months ago im not puttin anymore money into it. The car is in pretty good shape amg rims and sony stero with decent system. also got stock rims and tires in great shop.
Make me a offer i know im gonna be taking a slam after spending 1900 on a transmission that lasted just over a year but ill take what i can get.
If your looking just for some parts id be willing to part out.

Damnit, if I didn't go out and buy a 300E 24V, and had the money I'd buy your 300E and fix the tranny.

Did you transplant a 24V into your sedan or do you have a twin cam coupe?

I would just get a used transmission for like $400. I see them on craigslist all the time and im sure it will last longer than 18 months.

Or go to the junkyard and pull one for like $200.

I saw a transmission on craiglist the other day for $125!! I wish I had snapped it up...

Yeah you can do that too, most w124s that go to the junk yard are because of the fuel injection or head gaskets which most ppl are quoted wayyyy to much to fix. Plus you get a 30 day warranty and just rent a cherry picker...
