Definitely does not look like a 23 year old car
That's what I love about the w124's.

Nice job yourself V9! W124's look so sharp with the right springs.

ps2cho, I have a bunch of buddies who worship the E30 gods so when they come over to hang I always have to go outside and say "Wow.....my car is 2 years OLDER than yours?"

A bit late but Great Looking drop there. Average person guessing car age would be at least 10 years off

I'd keep the window covers, I just like them too much to be without them.

Excellent shots!

lots of cars
You can't compare a 86 w124 with any other 86 car out there. They all look very dated and just plain old. People think my benz is newer, but i always tell them 86 just to see the look on their face. I still can't believe how good my car runs, today i did 105 on the fwy and it was just planted to the road. BTW, I found a new love for Dunlop SP Sport 2000E tires..

Dechroming the grill will get your guesses into the 2000's

Just last week one of the people I supervise at work asked for a ride to her car and she asked me "what is this, like a 2001 or what?"

haha. Might have been the carbon fiber center console I put in recently though

Looks great App!!

Do see about smaller pads in the front to level off the drop...I love my intrax springs...second W124 I've had with them...best looking drop...

I had my visors on for a bit then pulled them off, they kill the look of the darker car IMO...if they were body color on my car they'd be ok but they looked out of place. They suit yours and Zeds car though...

Thanks Mark that means alot comming from you, "Mr. Perfection"

I do agree on leveling the front out, however, I NEED to roll my front fenders first. When the wheels are turned they crunch up the fenders with medium suspension compression.

The car attracts so much attention now that I get anxiety at stoplights.

Hmmm...your issue is probably shocks if you are running the stock '86ers.

I have no rubbing other than extreme conditions and I have intrax, 1bump all around but I have Koni Red adjustable shocks...

Hey App-
I am now the owner of a fender roller. If you'd like, pay shipping back and forth and you could borrow it.

I know no one really needs it, but it is a clean way to roll, just remove the wheel, bolt this up w your lugs, heat the fender and just slowly roll this back and forth, tightening a little bit at a time.

As a matter of fact, my KYB's up front are awful. I noticed that when I was putting the springs in I can fully depress L&R Front shocks with one hand.....with little to no effort . I have 6 month old HD Bilstien's in the rear, now I guess its time to upgrade the fronts.

I haven't noticed any coppers following me or staring me down, thank god! It's more along the lines of kids with riced out imports, they just look and stare...I guess it looks more intimidating from the outside because not one person has tried to run me since lowering it. Then the occasional M3 or late 80's era 911 owner, but I think its just the fact that they appreciate seeing well kept German cars on the road.

I also think when it inherently looks great, people notice even if they are unsure of the details that makes it soooo different than others.

Between now and Tuesday, I am going to roll my Cab to fit the new Aero I's, I would ship it to you first if you are hot to trot and will turn it around in days, OR if you wait til next week, you'd have a few weeks if you needed it. <small deposit required>
