Selling my car

An opportunity to upgrade to a 500e has presented itself, so Im looking to unload my 300e.

Sorry I keep editing, some douche nozzle keeps flagging my posts for removal.

Haha not yet. I meant more along the lines of having some extra cash than having an exact 500 in mind. I did see one at a dealership though asking $8400. I think they would take $8000 if I brought cash though. Only downside besides the stock lights and grill is that it has 159,000 miles. I'm sure the car will last much longer though.

lots of cars
I dunno dude, a 500e in my personal opinion has to be kept stock or close to stock with low miles. A 300e is more of a DIY car you can have fun with. I've found a lot of deals buying cars cash in the past 6 months. I bought a 300ce for 2500 from a dealer down the street because he couldn't move it for 4 months. I cleaned it up and fixed a couple of things and sold it for 3500 a week later. Most of those cars i'm sure are trade-ins and they will negotiate a lot more. I would say hold on to your money and look for a clk55, e55, c43 because they are going down in price. The trick is to look for these cars in areas where you wouldn't normally see a benz for sale. People in those areas are scared of the repair bills that's why they don't buy them.

By stock lights, I mean old style with amber corners. I would just put updated tails / Euro headlights on it and an s600 style grill and call it a day. Maybe a light tint.

The car is on ebay too:

Congrats on the new found opportunity if it presents itself bro.

I would really get a low mileage E500E though but if you're okay with it and what not then that's all you.

by the way - How was the night when you were with Shanell? lol

It's been on eBay several times and the local CL for that past year, not sure why it hasn't sold.

I know...that makes me worry because it looks pretty clean from his pictures. I dream of owning a 500 but I'm not at the point where I can completely garage a car and I'd be afraid of the repairs.

Thanks Chris. Im not in a hurry to buy one so I'm just looking right now. Im also looking at clk430's. Ive always liked the way those look too.

As for Shanell, that's more of a private message conversation. haha. Lets just say there was a reason I didn't leave until it was too late to meet up at fusion.

Pif, youre right I have seen it online a few times over the past few months, but I remember there being a reserve and a much higher BUY IT NOW price. Its not close enough to go haggle with them, but if the auction ends around $7000, Im taking it.

On the positive side, this seller local to me seems to like 500E's as they sell them frequently...

Hmmm, at least a couple of incorrect facts about 500E's in the description, but even so, it didn't attract many bidders. No demand?

It could be the economy or the color, I usually search for 500E's but happened to search E500 which are mostly the newer models. This seller advertised $7700 locally, he must have been very motivated to sell...

Yeah I made the mistake of only searching 500e's also. The few times I have searched e500's I have gotten mostly if not all 96+ models.
