E Coupe

Not a W124 but i am glad to see the E Coupe is back, the C Class based CLK was kind of a lame substitute, the quality of the materials looks more on par with the W124's too, the only thing i am not really feeling yet is the taillights . . .

I know most of you have already seen the car but this is the official benz promo site for it

The new E-Coupe will also be based on C-Class (W204) underpinnings/chassis. And just like the CLK, the engines offered will be the same as the E-Class engines.

For example, CLK350 and CLK550 : E350 and E550.
E-Coupe350 and E-Coupe550 : E350 and E550.

Anymore new Mercs have achieved a generic look...don't know what your following..... could be a S550 or a Hyundai !!!

I'll stay with the styles that looked like what a Merc used to look like...

Nobody looks twice at most new Mercs...but the older ones still turn heads

It was in the 90s when lexus used to copy mercedes...ie lexus ls400 which sorta looked like a w140...now it's the other way around...

I don't know what is going on in the Benz styling department but if you ask me they need a good kick up the backside to bring them back to reality.

Who on earth would have thought that MB would have nothing better to do than copy Toyota styling!

MB be ashamed! Even I could do a MUCH better job than what these overpaid, plain lazy “stylists” are doing at present. The new Gullwing is a disaster too!

Out of the newer models i love the styling of the: SL, SLR, CLS, C, CL and GLand the new E Coupe is a step in the right direction i just do not agree with the taillights, the designs of the new benz's still blow away anything from the competition IMO, i mean BMWs look like bulked up Hondas and don't even get me started on Lexus and infinity with their re badged Toyotas/Nissans with Pleather/Would, i like Audi even though they are very simplistic and lack that aggressive look of benz's and what they have done with Lamborghini is great

That red E Coupe was hot. Though I just like red cars in general. Still not sold on the styling of the sedan though.
