Looking good so far and I have to say like everyone above. The wheels are great.

Widest standard AMG size was 10".
Made by OZ and it is a three piece wheel which means you could widen it with a different barrel

They are the original AMG / OZ 3 piece that were refurbished and had the rear offset modified.

Purchased them from "Wheel Wizard " in the U.K. ( email: wheel.wizard@yahoo.co.uk )
He can be found on the MB Club UK forum under the screen name Aka$h.

Not inexpensive but almost impossible to find refurbished in the USA

No such thing as 20's when these wheels were made in the mid eighties.
16" and 17" only in 7.5" to 10" wide....

Haha, yea that was a funny question! 20" wheels didn't exist, you were pimping if you could afford the 18" wheels at that time

Interesting, thanks for the info... Do they usually have them in stock, and what was the turnaround time? I'd love to pick some up for my w202 and make it more DTM VIP style.

The "stock" situation varies.
These wheels haven't been made for over fifteen years.
Some of the parts such as lips and centers are a bit more available.
It took him about four weeks to do the work as he had to locate front centers.
Installing the front centers in the rear barrels changes the offset from +17 to -7.
This pushes the wheel out an additional 1".

For the W202 you might want to consider the later style 3 piece that was used as an option on the R129 SL600 and SL500.

Yo Ed!

I didn't realize this thread was a year old, but are you still plugging ahead with this project? I'm totally impressed with this project and one on mymbonline (http://mymbonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7159) so definitely keep us updated. You need to do a photoshoot with your black series and what a black series from the era of the 124s would've looked like. Hope you're doing well.
