Nice

"The car runs and drives however the tranny will not leave 1st gear..."

Could be a NICE steal, most likely a stuck kickdown switch or solenoid.

^ Most all should be minus the temp sensor and a few computer elements due to yours not having a check engine light -- only an O2 sensor.

You have check engine? Not O2 Sensor? Hmm....I thought 88 was the first year they introduced the CEL. Before that it was just an O2 sensor light. Maybe not then? I wonder what the deal is?

Actually you might be correct, I had to buy a new cluster off ebay as my old one crapped out, but all of the electrical connections are exactly the same on the back with the ambient temp LCD being the only exception.
