Nothing, nothing is imposible... and thats your car, do everything what you do, all the people can live with this.
The differential is not a problem, serious, my car have the same stock diff. and if you think is something similar, 4 cylinders(original) maybe around 100 hp to a 300hp v8(vortec is not stock) without problems...
good look and keep some pictures up!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Do that with a 300E fool.
I am sure the 036 per capita and per sq. mile, is pretty high where you are.
I don't know where Zeddy lives, or many of the others, but in some cases there may not be more than one 500E in the entire state. Many people, I am sure, have them mothballed during the winter.

And something more, if anyone wants a e500 just go to ebay, and buy some of those, you can look at few there

Um, back on topic - I hope: As others have said, it probably would be easier to go with an aftermarket engine management system. However, the next problem is the transmission, which is electronically controlled. Even if you can get the fuel & ignition systems sorted out (not easy on a supercharged engine with variable valve timing, etc)... controlling the transmission could be a BIG problem. It will probably be just as difficult to try and swap over all the existing E55-K harnesses and computers. Either way this will be a nightmare project. And you'll need about this much cash to pull it off:

It would be easier, and possibly cheaper, to just build a supercharged 6.0L M119. The power output would be the same or higher, and there would be no electronics nightmare. You'd also retain ASR, ABS, and cruise control... three things you're almost certain to lose if you try to use the E55-K powertrain.

I would do it if I had time and money. Definitely a wild project that I would love to see.
Look into engine managements, ask on E55 forum section which stand alone they would recommend you. This would save you a whole lot of time and you can fine tune your motor to every mods you do it.

good luck.
Scroll till u see his tranny he made a sweet conversion. Thats the way to go no electronics. My buddys got a 800 hp chevelle running that tranny.
