Talking Springs and some help needed!

Hey guys, whats up! I need some advice on a spring kit for my 1993 300E i think i want to go with the H&R Sports, however from my understanding H&R makes two kits, one that lowers the front 1.5" and and rear 1.3" and another that drops it 1.3" on both front and rear. Have any of you had any experience with these springs? do you think the 1.5" in front would look bad? Also would performance suffer greatly if i didn't go with the 1.5" any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

eh i got eibachs but i regret it i should have gotten H&R's for some reason eibachs didnt lower my car much. it looks stock actualy. I got eibachs so iw ould give up too much comfort. My understanding is H&R's will be stiff. But hey when u upgrade suspenson ur gona be turning at 40+ mph u want it to be stiff. so i say get H&R

Yeah, i just got the Bilstein sports fro my car and i am excited!! This is good news because I thought the Eibachs lowered the car more than the H&R's, guess not. Does anyone have the 1.5"s in the front? how do you like the looks/performance? Thanks for the reply.

Thumbs up H&R springs for 300

I installed H&R sport springs in my '91 300 TE wagon. I love the look (about 1.5 lower) and the handling. The ride is not really harsh at average road speed but I do notice pretty firm reaction to pot holes and ridges at slow speeds. If you're serious about driving, it's a small price to pay. See my car in archieves.

Hey thanks for the reply! I am still waiting for the H&R's, but i am pretty confident they will be a good purchase. I got my 18's today they are the 18x8.5 monoblocks with 225/40/18 Ventura tires, wow! i love the look of them except they stick out of the fenders a little too much. I'm going to take them to a machine shop to get the grinded down. Has anyone had a similiar problem or done this procedure before? if so i'd like some advice. I want to post pics soon!!

This might be a stupid question but if I were to purchase Lowering Springs, Can I use them with my stock shocks?

Yes you can ride on your stock shocks for awhile. The ride will be a little bouncy. It is adviced that you should change the shocks ASAP. Over time your stock shocks will get blown out.
