Help Flasher, Wiper and rear glass defroster problem

need help i have mercedes w124 E320 1995 since few days in my car the first switch of wiper and turn signal and rear defroster is not working.when i drive my car and go on bump or pot holes then the things work for 1 second then get off.so what i did i open the hood and i turn on the signal light and wiper switch and hit on the fuse box it work for 1 second then went off again.i checked all the fuse they were good.to me it look like under the fuse box there is a problem or it could be nutrel wire.plz can any one tell me what is the problem and can any one tell me how to remove the fuse box.

There is a multipurpose/combination relay that controls all three of those. Since you can hit the box and it functions that will 99% be the problem. You can either A) Resolder it B) Get one from a junkyard/buy a new one online.

It is the longer relay of the (2?).You'll see it when you unscrew the main cover.

Yes. Your paper did nothing but tweak the cracked solder joints very slightly. You still need to either resolder the board or get a new one.

1994 E320
Been browsing these forums since I bought my grandfather's 94 E320 in November (67k miles) and I'm having pretty much the same issue, with the exception that it's not limited to the wiper - my power seats no longer work, and my rear defrost button makes a weird buzzing noise when I try to turn it on.

My friend and I took out the culprit relay last night and resoldered some of the circuits inside but still no go - didn't see anything that looked physically damaged (my friend is good with electronics/cars so I trust his judgment.) Should I go ahead and order the part, or is there a possibility it could be something else? Also, there was a reference here about the larger of the two relays being the one to check, but according to another thread I thought it was the smaller of the black ones? (The labeling actually mentions the wiper and rear windshield if I remember right.)

My main concern here is that with the 4-6 inches of snow we're getting today I simply cannot drive the car - I'm actually working from home today.

Sorry, you are right it is the smaller of the two. I need to resolder mine too when I get around to it as my wipers do not work on the lowest setting.

Does that weird buzzing noise I mentioned jump out at anyone as being something other than the relay?
