sl320 diff??? Will it work?
I think the half axles will probably break before the diff though. I ran a 2.026 60' at the track the other day on 245/45 street tires a couple of weeks ago. I am planning on trying to cut a 1.8 or better on stickier tires. I think this might be reaching the limits of the drive line though.
If you are running around doing burn outs and get some wheel hop then it will break a lot sooner.

The Quaife is an ATB differential. This means automatic torque biasing. It uses helical gears to mechanically transfer power to the wheel with traction.
Really what it does is as one wheel starts to loose traction and wants to spin faster than the other, the torque is increase to the wheel with traction.
They work very well and have a lifetime warranty and require no rebuild for clutches like the clutch type.
If you are interested pm me I can help with getting one and the install.

you need the rear cap of the diffcase from a "big" w124 diff (280, 300-24v or 320)
the r129 cap does not fit into your CE
the "big" 210mm diffs were in such w124 models:
280 -> 3.06, 5speed auto 3.69
300-24v -> 3.27 at sedan, 3.46 at wagon, 5speed auto 3.69
320 -3.06, 5speed auto 3.69
420 -> 2.65 but with another rear cap and 4 hole flange
500 -> 2.82 but with another rear cap and 4 hole flange
in R129 and W140 was even a 3.92 available!
