Trade: My 2003 E55 for your 500E

Looking to sell or trade my mint 2003 E55 with 36k miles for a great condition 500E in similar shape plus cash. The E55 is no longer my daily driver, so looking for a 500E that I can use whenever needed.

Let me know if interested.

Pics here: https://mbworld.org/forums/mercedes-...35k-miles.html

Thanks.

How much cash would you give me with your E55, for my 500E?

Seriously, though, I am very happy with my car, but thanks.

I don't think

he will find many people willing to give up one of the highest quality Mercedes uber cars for the worst quality W211 never mind tossing in cash
with 35k miles either the brakes, suspension, or radiator/transmission is set to go any moment

I'm not wanting to be rude to the OP. I admit that I was having fun at his expense, but he was very forthright, coming on here with his post, and I respect that.

I would expect that the W211 is better than the W210, which seems to have a bad rep.
I have never owned either. Oh, Lord, you probably know more about that than I do. IIRC, you have W210 , right?

I HAVE driven a W211 and I liked it, but not enough to give up my 500E for it. That being said, someone out there may want an updated, faster, car.

I wish the OP, Good Luck.

190E 16V, I had the same thoughts. But, I don't have the guts to say it. Thanks, for your candor.

To the OP, please understand that most E500E owners are passionate with their cars and some owners would only part with it under extreme needs and not to trade with another car. So, it might be easier for you to acquire a 500E by first selling your car and buying a 500E cash.

Good luck

Here is an impeccable 500E for sale:

http://www.500espot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=685

You could sell your car for $25K, buy this 500E, and still have $10-$12,000 left over, to buy custom cup-holders!

03 E55

25k
Getting to the point where you can get 2 for that price.
if you wanted them
just a hint of sarcasm there but with dealers offering 15k on trade in it won't be long

Hey, figured someone may be interested. Never hurts to ask, but didn't expect these types of responses. Thanks.

Hey CET55;

I hope you can get good value for your car, and there are no hard feelings.

People with 500's are not likely to trade, that's how it is.

However, nobody should be pitting your car down, either.

I consider it a compliment that you would want to trade for a car like mine.

Please excuse Ohlord, there are some unscrupulous types on the forums you need to look out for. It makes people a bit suspicious of a deal that looks unusually good.

I was lucky enough to find a guy willing to trade his on my W210 E55+ $$$ but any model after this would prob scare off a current W124 owner. He was an MB Mechanic and knew how I cared for my car.

Did not want to trade at first but then he said "what the hell" to my satisfaction. He wanted a true enthusiast to own it, me. Good luck though!!!

Where in CT are you? PM me.

Not selling mine but I can help you get into a good 500E for sure.

Does your gas tank leak on the E55 btw?

I thought all gas tanks leak on 211's - at least that is what my friend at a local MB dealer told me. My tank began to leak at 48k miles (5 yrs) on my 2006 E500 - replacement cost over $2k - sold car last week. Glad I always held on to my '92 500E.
